Being the largest capacity certified schooner on the West Coast makes Bay Lady the perfect boat for your next event. Her unique ability to accommodate up to 77 passengers provides plenty of space and comfort for larger groups. Custom built in Maine by the famed boatyard Washburn & Doughty, Bay Lady represents the best craftsmanship in steel construction available.
Built purely for sailing charters she offers a large cockpit, big enough to seat 56 people, slightly recessed into the center of the boat. This design is perfect for keeping the passengers in the sun - but out of the wind - warm and cozy. On deck, Bay Lady offers wide walkways and comfortable seating on her cabin tops. Her nautical ropework and gleaming varnish provide an air of luxury and comfort not found on most sailing vessels. Her cabins are handcrafted in American ash, Honduran Mahogany and Brazilian rosewood, all varnished to perfection.
Bay Lady offers the best in food and beverage programs...delicious buffets, hand-made hors d'oeuvres, the finest in a wide variety of beers and wines...hosted for you by our highly professional Captain and friendly crew.
Her tremendous sailplan (over 2500 square feet) allows Bay Lady to quickly sail just about anywhere you may want to go...from daytrips around the Bay to offshore sailing adventures out to the Farallon Islands and beyond.
San Francisco's many sights are viewed from every trip, Glide past the historic Port of San Francisco Ferry Building. Look up and you'll see the famous Transamerica building and Coit Tower in one glance. Sailing past Pier 39's seal rookery toward Alcatraz and Angel Island you fee Bay Lady's power as she presses through the incoming tide and ocean swell comfortably, with hardly any movement at all. Once across the Bay, look onto the Sausalito and Tiburon hillsides. Sail past Angel Island's lovely Ayala Cove and reach quickly back across the Bay to San Francisco's beautiful waterfront.
Bay Lady will transport you back in time to the days of the great schooners...when moving passengers and cargo around San Francisco Bay was not just fun but a way of life. Come join us!
