Named for Jack London, Yukon Jack carries his appetite for distance. She was handbuilt by Bill Lee, the man who taught California that fast is fun, and in 1995 she won the San Francisco to Tahiti race outright.
Her exterior restoration ran to roughly 2,000 hours: new paint, gelcoat, engine, rigging and hardware. The interior was remade the year before. Below, hand-rubbed teak, a full galley, a proper navigation station with radar, and a dining area with a view that seats ten.
She is equally happy on a slow loop of the city front or driving out under the Gate into open Pacific swell. For groups up to twenty, there is nothing else like her on the Bay.
She won the San Francisco to Tahiti race in 1995, 3,600 miles of open Pacific, and then came home and had 2,000 hours of work put into her.
