Every October the Navy’s flight demonstration squadron turns San Francisco Bay into an amphitheater. We put you in the middle of it.
You will not just see the show. You will feel it.
From the water, not the shoreline
The squadron flies F/A-18 Super Hornets through barrel rolls, high-speed passes and formation work tight enough to look like one aircraft. On the Bay the sound arrives across open water and hits you in the chest. On the Embarcadero you are watching. Out here you are underneath it.
Space is genuinely limited
This is the single most requested weekend of our year and it sells out every time. Boats are usually spoken for well before October, and the larger ones go first. If Fleet Week matters to you, treat it as a date to book months ahead rather than weeks.
More than the jets
The Blue Angels are the headline, but the airshow runs for hours and the Parade of Ships comes in under the Golden Gate with the fireboats spraying. Being on the water means you see the arrivals as well as the flying, and you are already in position when the show starts.
Dress warmly. October on the Bay is colder than October in the city.
