The fastest sail racing in the world
SailGP boats are foiling catamarans capable of more than sixty miles an hour. They do not sail so much as fly, and at close range the noise they make is not what anyone expects.
Special event
National teams on identical F50 foiling catamarans, racing a course set against the Golden Gate. We put you inside it.
Individual tickets now on sale
You no longer need a whole group to watch from the water. Buy a seat for yourself, or for two or three, and join a shared boat on the edge of the racecourse. Your confirmation email has the exact time, where to meet and what to bring.
Sixty miles an hour, a few yards away
SailGP boats are foiling catamarans capable of more than sixty miles an hour. They do not sail so much as fly, and at close range the noise they make is not what anyone expects.
The Bay is a natural amphitheater, a dramatic racecourse with the city skyline on one side and the Marin headlands on the other. Reliable wind, tight boundaries, and spectators close enough to matter.
Feel the rush as the boats go past, with the spray and the wind and world-class crews working at full stretch a short distance away. It is a different sport from this angle.
Racing comes in short, hard bursts rather than one long contest, with a gap between each while the fleet resets. We sail out early, hold a spot on the course boundary, and move between races so you are not watching the same angle all afternoon.
